Winter Adventures without the Permit Hassle
From June to September, enjoy significant cost savings as permits are not required. Simply register with Tasmania National Parks (free of charge) and obtain a Tasmania National Park pass, available for purchase at Lake St Clair or Cradle Mountain visitor centres before your adventure begins. Additionally, there's a nominal $15 per person fee for using the shuttle bus from Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre to Ronny Creek.

Make use of the huts
The huts remain open all winter. Waterfall Valley, Windermere and Kia Ora are all new and well insulated with heating ( but not guaranteed during the winter months).
You can walk South to North or North to South from June to September. Eguide can drop you at Cradle Mountain or at Lake St Clair and pick you up from both.
